"The poorest, the weakest, the simplest child, is born for immortality. This value outweighs the entire material universe, no matter how small a mark this child makes on it. The tiniest infant owns a deathless intellect, and is as immortal as the Father of spirits. No one can tell what this child will become."

~ A Prebyterian Pastor who died in 1873

"And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise."

~ (Deuteronomy 6:6-7)

Funny what we think is funny

I bet when Stu was in highschool he would have never thought that a cartoon called "Shaun the Sheep" would have him rolling in the floor laughing...

Well as I was putting on my makeup I heard a hackle from Jack and Stu, I walked in the den and saw them both glued to the TV with huge grins on their faces as I looked on Stu replied with "What!? Shaun was choking and it was funny."
(He also carries Francie around and sing fran the sheep its fran the sheep.)

Also, I was getting ready to leave and Jack started his babbling with da-da-da-da not really daddy but more so than mommy I said "your son wants you da da." As I was walking out the door I heard "ma ma ma ma ma" not from Jack but from Stuart. He asked Jack why he dosen't call for momma.

It's so funny how we can't wait for them to talk and then how quickly they can run your name into the ground.

Also, our language has changed quit a bit something I have wanted to ask since we have been giving nick names to Jack...

What is a booger bear?!?! and why does it seem indearing? Bear, yes sweet, cuddly, cute (I get it). But BOOGER BEAR?!?!

It's just funny what we think is funny now a days.

Visitor

Yesterday when I got in from work Stuart asked me to feel Jack's gums (like he has many times before). So I reached in with doubt and was so excited to feel little bumps on his bottom gums. Yay we have teeth!!!! I told him he was such a big boy because he hasn't been whiney or anything horrible that you hear about. When they come up a little more I will post some pictures but right now you cannot see them.

Mother's Day Weekend

Friday, Stuart and I ate a Mother's Day meal at Ketchup and he took me to Kate Spade and bought me a new purse, which I am in love with. (both Stu and the purse.) {Upon popular request Stuey will now be affectionately titled Stu :(... }

Saturday we spent all day together doing nothing and running a few errands, it was fun to spend time together with nowhere to be or nothing particular to do.

Sunday, we went and surprised my Nana at church (the church I grew up in) and then went back to mom's for a little lunch. Jack was so good during church I was a little nervous about taking him to the nursery with it not being our normal church but he didn't make a peep. After all of that we went to Grandmother and Granddaddy's with mom and dad and visited a little it was a wonderful Mother's Day weekend. I couldn't have asked for anything more.

What a Mother's Day Suprise

So who dosen't hate the idea of having a sit down session with their little one around a photography studios schedule. It makes me shutter to think of preparing to do such a thing. However, over the weekend my mom took Jack to visit my "Nana and Paw Paw" and by Nana and Paw Paw I mean to my old childhood friend turned photographer Rachel Coviak.

It was supposed to be a suprise but knowing my mom and I suprises are lost upon us, so Sunday when she came by she asked to borrow my computer and pulled up Rachel's site and made Stuart and I watch and what we saw were the most amazing pictures of the most amazingly happy little boy that is our Jack.

I thought to myself how wonderful my mom is to go through all the stress (including three wardrobe changes) for me. She told me it was so much easier with Jack (as expected bc he is so good) than with us, but what made it so much easier was Rachel giving my mom an all day time frame, yes that's right all day... Understanding the struggle of having a schedule with two little ones herself she told my mom whenever he has a nap and you feel he is ready you call me and I will meet you there. WOW really? photoshoot around your babies schedule? I will be suprised if this doesn't make her the one to go to for many busy moms. I cannot thank Rachel and my Mom enough and couldn't ask for a better mother's day gift.

Relay for Life

Relay for Life of Huntsville is this Friday and as part of the "Happy Feet" team at work I have been very busy getting everything together.

This is the sign I made last night with my cricut to display all the things we are selling...

Also my mom helped so much by acquiring the following donations:

Thank you to the Paper Chase:

Jimmy Smith Jewelers

and Sam Frank and Moore...

They really pulled through to to help our raffle, all proceeds go to ACS ( American Cancer Society) to help the fight against cancer.
Also my Uncle Mike helped get us 4 rounds of golf plus a cart at the Decatur Country Club thank you to him and Rusty (the club pro) for their help.
Pray that the weather lets up because if not it will be a rainy Relay. I will post pictures (hopefully) after the event. Jack, Stuart and Rachel are coming to help oh and Jack's "danger cart" as well.
Cancr has effected our family through Stuart's Paw Paw Louie, Grandfather Jack and Father Steve... the fight against cancer has become very important to me and I am honored to work for a company that has ACS as their philanthropy and works diligently to build donations. So please come out and help support tonight.
