"The poorest, the weakest, the simplest child, is born for immortality. This value outweighs the entire material universe, no matter how small a mark this child makes on it. The tiniest infant owns a deathless intellect, and is as immortal as the Father of spirits. No one can tell what this child will become."

~ A Prebyterian Pastor who died in 1873

"And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise."

Chritmas Eve Extravanganza

12-23-2008

The day before Christmas Eve all of the grandkids and great grandkids all go eat at you Great Grandmother's and Great Grandaddy's (this is from a tradition where we all spent the night the night before we would celebrate Christmas on Christmas Eve.

Also, another of my favorite traditions is "Sister Gifts!" the day we got out of school for the holidays your Grandmother would let us open the gifts we all got each other, it was so exciting and we couldn't hardly wait for your Grandmother and Papa to get off work to open, because they were the first and most anticipated gifts to be opened.

So your daddy loaded all the gifts we had bought for your mommy's side of the family and we took them over when we went to do sister gifts. After that was done we all loaded up and went to your Great Grandmother's and we ate Chik-Fil-A and took aunt annie home with us to spend the night because your Aunt Sophie was very sick with a virus, I wish I had a picture of her sitting across the room with gloves and a mask on while we opened gifts, all so you wouldn't get sick.

We woke up and started getting ready to go back to Great Grandmother's for a wonderful Christmas breakfast. Mmmmm it was so good! We got you ready first and you and your Aunt Annie watched your Praise Baby DVD your Aunt Haley got you for Christmas. Your Aunt A STILL doesn't understand THERE IS NO PLOT TO THOSE DVD'S!!!

You wore a red and white knit Strasburg outfit your Grandmother and Papa bought you with a cute matching hat.

While we were waiting on your Aunt A to get ready I slipped on her ring and asked her to take my picture, to see if she would notice I switched our wedding rings...

She didn't notice so I asked her to take a closer one and she still didn't get it, she asked why I was putting this on my blog and I said "I dunno" and dropped it.... A few minutes later she came running out of the bathroom with her hand out and said .... "I know what the caption will be" and I gave her her ring back....

We made it to Great Grandmother's around 8:30 and took a family picture.....

Your SICK Aunt Sophie was kind of a downer.... but she came back around later on, she felt really bad.

Our Family Minus Uncle Brett (on call)

Aunt Haley got you a train of animals and you loved it you watched it for a while and Sarah Laine showed you how to make it go.
