"The poorest, the weakest, the simplest child, is born for immortality. This value outweighs the entire material universe, no matter how small a mark this child makes on it. The tiniest infant owns a deathless intellect, and is as immortal as the Father of spirits. No one can tell what this child will become."

~ A Prebyterian Pastor who died in 1873

"And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise."

Memorial Day Weekend & More (catching up from summer 2011)

We went to watch the baloon races and ended up running into Afton, Jack was playing "copy anything Afton does" in this picture.

This was the first weekend Jack got to spend mostly in the swimming pool at Grandmamas.

Aunt Bissy also took him to the Country Club with Haley to try out their pool...

Back to Grandmamas, he decided he could swim faster if he lost the suite.....

Jack got to hold Adelaide during her first visit to Decatur....

He also got to cook a chocolate cake with Grandmama...

Made green snot from playdough....

We took Jack to the zoo in Birmingham while the power was out in April.

Jack was mapping our route .... It happened to be the fastest route to the train.

We got to see our Sophie-Paige for the first time. At this point we were told she was a boy.

The following are random pictures from the past year...

This is Jacks' horse "Rex" named after papas' old rocky horse when he was a kid.

Jacks' first snowman mommy and daddy had to build for him because unfortunately little buddy had the flu.
