"The poorest, the weakest, the simplest child, is born for immortality. This value outweighs the entire material universe, no matter how small a mark this child makes on it. The tiniest infant owns a deathless intellect, and is as immortal as the Father of spirits. No one can tell what this child will become."

~ A Prebyterian Pastor who died in 1873

"And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise."

~ (Deuteronomy 6:6-7)

Our Baby Boy Turns Two

Today I wrote this for you:
Happy Birthday, now you’re two.
You love the park, you get boo boos’.
Words come out in sentences now,
Always learning, show me how.
ABC’s, your S’s and T’s,
You saying “love you” to daddy and me.
You now have learned the power of “no”,
And you use it often to tell us so.
You love cartoons like all kids do,
Dogs and books and Thomas too,
Bathes in the sink to swimming classes,
Baby bottles to sippy glasses.
Hot dogs you love to eat,
“Gummies”, “Sgetti”, and Milk Shake treats.
Playing trains, with “Sir Topham Hatts” service.
Backyard climbs make grandma nervous.
Sarah Laine and William are your friends,
Aunt Bissy sets your clothing trends.
And all of these things make you, you.
Happy Birthday Jack now you’re Two!!
