"The poorest, the weakest, the simplest child, is born for immortality. This value outweighs the entire material universe, no matter how small a mark this child makes on it. The tiniest infant owns a deathless intellect, and is as immortal as the Father of spirits. No one can tell what this child will become."

~ A Prebyterian Pastor who died in 1873

"And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise."

Daddy's Good Luck Charm

Your trip to Birmingham went great, you were a perfect angel, "a perfect shopper" (Aunt Andrea) , and "a perfect good luck charm" (Daddy).

We arrived in Birmingham at Aunt Andrea and Uncle Brett's house about noon and your Daddy dropped us off and went to his work meeting. Me and A decided to take you on your first shopping trip while Uncle Brett stayed home to watch the Northwestern game (his Alma mater). We went to the Summit and it was a pretty hot day but you did great you slept through the whole thing until we were 1 min from A's house and you decided you were very hungry, but other than that you didn't make a peep.

This is a picture of your onsee Aunt Andrea bought you, I thought it would be perfect to apply for a job at mommy's work. I thought they could build a small cube right next to mine.

Later that night daddy had his first race with his new team Tria Market, this was his first race since you were born also. It was a little hot but you didn't seem to mind it. Mommy, you and your Aunt and Uncle went to the race about 8pm and finally found a parking place, you were sound asleep until we finally got our chairs out and found a good place to sit. You cried a little on and off. Until daddy pulled up to see you before his race.
We took a quick family picture.... and the race was on. Your daddy did so good, and you were screaming for him (or a clean diaper). Finally mommy walked alllllllll the way back to the car to get your diaper bag (being the first outing as a new mom I left it in the car). We changed your diaper on my chair.....
And then you were happy, so happy in fact we let you sit there. I wasn't totally convinced the only reason you were crying was your diaper but I knew you were happy at that moment and didn't want to disrupt you...
Your daddy did so well for his new team he came in 3rd, we had to get you back to feed you so that's why we aren't in the podium picture but we will be there next time.
